Associate Site Editor, TechTarget Social Media

ITKnowledgeExchange.com  is seeking an Associate Site Editor to help facilitate community in its social media department. This position requires someone who is knowledgeable with wordpress, wikis and other web 2.0 technologies. . The Associate Site Editor is responsible for updating the web site, maintaining relationships with and recruiting users to blog, site reporting on traffic and content creation. The primary focus of this position is production and site content management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Writing blog post of interest for the community;
• Producing weekly newsletters;
• Updating site's pages;
• Managing user bloggers and recruiting new ones;
• Producing best practices for bloggers;
• Setting up new blogs on the site; and,
• Working with TechTarget editorial staff to integrate content

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Bachelor's degree;
• 2–3 years experience writing and/or editing;
• Experience editing;
• Experience with online editing;
• Experience with wordpress;
• Experience working with social media and web 2.0 technologies;
• Strong grammatical skills;
• Strong computer/Web skills;
• Experience with copy editing; and,
• Familiarity with search engine optimization
