Marketing and Community Manager, TechTarget CIO/IT Strategy Media

TechTarget's CIO/IT Strategy Media Group is seeking an energetic and informed manager for a new online community for electronic health care professionals. The Marketing and Community Manager would be responsible for recruiting a health care IT professional audience, and content producers from that audience; manage the user-generated content, users blogs, editorial blogs. The Community Manager will work under the Executive Editor of SearchHealthcareIT.com and create strategies for maximizing traffic and revenue. The Community Manager also will have the responsibility of developing relationships and partnerships with health care organizations, publishers, associations and groups for marketing and content sharing opportunities, including list swaps. Ideal candidates should have at least five years' experience managing online communities, with a strong knowledge of the health care industry.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work with the Director of Product Management & Marketing for the CIO/IT Strategy media group to create marketing and content sharing initiatives;
• Use community-building best practices to ensure growth of the community;
• Track metrics and engagement against goals;
• Identify and engage with key influencers in the health care industry;
• Work with editorial, sales and marketing on use of social networking tools such as Twitter;
• Become a thought leader within the company; and,
• Travel to relevant conferences and trade shows

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Solid understanding of social media and Web 2.0 technologies;
• Strong writing and marketing experience, with at least 5 years experience;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills;
• Knowledge of IT media space and the high-tech industry, with experience writing about health care or technology topics;
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, English or related topic;
• Solid understanding of news writing, journalism ethics and story structure;
• Ability to work in deadline-driven, team-oriented news environment; self-motivated; and,
• Strong analytical skills and results-driven.
