Manager of Internal Audit

TechTarget is seeking a Manager of Internal Audit to join the finance team. The Manager of Internal Audit will be responsible for the Company's SOX compliance efforts as well as assisting in the review and update of financial policies and procedures and continued internal control development, compliance and education. This position reports to the VP, Controller.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for the Company's SOX compliance efforts including:
  - refinement of scoping,
  - maintenance of process flows and narratives,
  - controls and test plan administration,
  - documenting conclusions regarding SOX testing,
  - remediation plans surrounding deficiencies,
  - modifications/enhancements in controls.
• Ensure SOX compliance and timely delivery of audit deliverables in a cost efficient manner
• Provide assistance to external auditors and other third parties as required;
• Assist in the review and update of financial policies and procedures;
• Assist in other projects as needed including potential acquisitions, international subsidiary best practices and IT;
• Systems implementation;
• Work with process owners and senior management to ensure risk mitigation, best practices and process;
• Improvements throughout the organization;  and,
• Continued internal control development, compliance and education

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance;
• 5-8 years of experience in a public accounting or internal audit environment;
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred;
• Proficiency in internal control standards, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and GAAP experience ;
• Systems implementation experience a plus;
• Self starter with the ability to work independently as well as with a team;
• Strong computer and Excel skills are required;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• The ability to multi-task in a fast paced accounting environment; and,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
