Senior Staff Accountant

Needham, MA

TechTarget is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who will be a key member of the Company's revenue process and controls and will be responsible for the regular reconciliation of revenue and deferred revenue accounts. This is a full time position reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager. The position will also work closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller and senior members of the Sales department, as well as the Director of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance to ensure that the necessary internal controls are functioning effectively for revenue processes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Drafting and maintenance of all Company commission, bonus and other compensation plans;
• Calculation of monthly commission and bonus payments in a timely manner;
• Maintaining and disbursing monthly commission and bonus statements to employees;
• Monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for revenue and deferred revenue accounts; and
• Other reporting requests and special projects as they arise.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and 3 - 5 years of financial/accounting experience;
• Possess a solid understanding of accounting/financial concepts and procedures;
• Previous experience dealing with sales commission and bonus plans is preferred but not required;
• Strong familiarity with spreadsheets, database applications, and general ledger;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience dealing with senior management; and
• Requires minimal assistance or supervision to perform most tasks.
