Marketing Manager, TechTarget Storage Media
Needham, MA
In this high-profile marketing role, the marketing manager will work closely with the marketing director to plan, execute and track the integrated marketing plan for audience development of all TechTarget Storage Media Group offerings. Specific initiatives include marketing to drive attendees to 4 conferences and close to 100 one-day seminars, traffic and membership driving for SearchStorage.com, 3 new website launches and circulation development for Storage Magazine. The marketing manager will also help mentor and manage marketing associates and work across departments to execute marketing initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Play a key role in the execution of marketing plans to drive attendees to all TechTarget storage events;
- Play a key role in the execution of launch marketing plans for 3 new storage-related websites;
- Aid in the creation and execution of a retention/rewards program for power users of TechTarget Storage Media;
- Play a key role in the circulation development initiatives for Storage magazine;
Plan, execute, track and analyze delegate recruitment marketing plans that integrate e-mail, print advertising, website content and telemarketing for 4 conferences and close to 100 one-day events annually for storage-focused IT professionals;
- Write all marketing collateral, direct e-mail marketing, website content and telemarketing scripts for all events;
- Work with delegate recruitment director to project and track recruitment efforts of multiple events and train delegate recruitment reps for highly engaged and targeted efforts to prospective attendees;
- Work with data analytics team to utilize market and database segmentation to deploy marketing plans that optimize contacts to the best prospects while minimizing database strain and avoiding untargeted efforts;
- Seek new creative ways to penetrate targeted local tech markets; and,
- Implement retention marketing program for past attendees.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience in marketing, preferably with a focus of online
- Excellent writing skills and commitment to learn online marketing copywriting techniques
- Ability and willingness to understand the needs of the targeted group of IT professionals
- Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills in analyzing data and projecting marketing results
- Ability to work with various individuals and effectively communicate
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a growing, changing, dynamic environment
