Inventory Manager
Needham, MA
TechTarget is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Inventory management team. The ideal candidate is experienced in online media inventory and is looking to grow in a management position. This position will report to Senior Director of Operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Inventory team;
- Develop strategies to maximize inventory yield;
- Act as business owner of PDS, an in-house contract processing, inventory calendaring and deliverable management application;
- Train Sales and other users on how to use PDS in their jobs;
- Approve product changes related to contracts and PDS;
- Collaborate with Finance department and product management on revenue recognition;
- Own relationship with Inventory and Remnant Inventory vendors;
- Develop and maintain key monthly reports such as inventory fill rates and discounts; and,
- Assist in RFP process for major accounts
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Minimum 2 years experience in online media and inventory;
- A strong leader who can develop staff, understand priorities and is willing to make difficult decisions;
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Forecasting experience is a plus;
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable in Access;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with people of all levels within the company; and,
