Sales Training Development Program

TechTarget is looking for May 2010 graduates to become Account Executives in our rapidly expanding Sales organization.
We are looking for hardworking, self-motivated recent college grads that have an interest in learning how to help marketing professionals in the fast-paced Information Technology sector promote their products using highly targeted integrated media.
Our intensive training program will prepare you to be an effective and successful sales professional utilizing a consultative sales approach. Upon completion of the training program, you will be an Account Executive with responsibility for accounts within one of the 20 vertical IT markets that we serve. You will work closely with your Sales Director to manage these accounts, develop client relationships and close sales. You’ll build your business through active prospecting, attending trade shows and researching your technology category.
Essential Job Functions:
- Advertising revenue growth through new business development, ongoing client contact and account management;
- Increase depth of contact for assigned vertical market and team by attending trade shows and active prospecting;
- Manage and increase sales within assigned vertical market by making a large volume of sales calls; and,
- Keep abreast of industry developments; stay involved in industry activities through participation in trades shows, industry associations, and industry functions.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Excellent communication, sales and presentation skills are a must;
- Qualified candidates must have a burning desire to be on a winning sales team and display extraordinary enthusiasm; and,
- Opportunity to relocate to San Francisco Office
