Audience Development Marketer
TechTarget is seeking an Audience Development Marketer. This is a new, pivotal role within the Audience Development team well-suited for someone who is ready to hit the ground running, and help us spread our influence within the B2B IT and business communities with the creation of digital marketing materials.
Reporting to the Director of Audience Development, the Audience Development Marketer will craft digestible, conversational marketing content (such as listicles, trends, quizzes, interview questions and more categories) to amplify organic traffic, grow our social media presence, increase visitor engagement and drive membership.
Essential Job Functions:
- Create various types of a new marketing content approach that we are calling bridge content where the content word count will fluctuate, exceeding 2,000 words in some cases. Content will include listicles, trends pieces, quizzes, interview questions, job descriptions and more;
- Perform market research to identify new content opportunities for our sites;
- Help maintain the bridge content publishing schedule;
- Support product launches (such as the free IT consulting listing and product review website, and any others that may develop); and,
- Develop and document best practices, and help optimize channel usage
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- BA/BS in business, marketing, communications or journalism;
- IT experience preferred;
- 3-5 years of experience creating marketing content in multiple forms;
- Experience learning and understanding technical concepts and turning them into exciting marketing content;
- Experience developing marketing content that is consistent with a brand’s positioning and speaks to the desired personas;
- Immaculate written and verbal communication skills;
- High attention to detail, and strong organizational and project management skills;
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit; and,
- Must be able to work independently and in a collaborative environment
