Marketing Content Writer

TechTarget is seeking a Marketing Content Writer to research, develop and write (and edit) thought-leadership content about B2B marketing that fuels demand generation, social and PR activities. This individual will execute and evolve a content strategy that will make TechTarget shine bright and flourish in a busy crowd.

As a critical member of our Corporate Marketing team, you will be able to make an immediate impact in a great industry, work on a top notch marketing team that you can learn from and grow within, and build relationships with other departments across the organization.

You are a creative storyteller with the ability to transform complex business concepts into compelling messaging that draws audiences in. You are comfortable creating and editing content in multiple formats for multiple channels, in snackable bites or full-course meals. You have the passion of an investigative journalist and the organizational skills of a managing editor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead end-to-end digital content production across multiple channels;
  • Create and edit long- and short-form content to fuel inbound and outbound efforts, including: ebooks, white papers, infographics, video, email & promotional copy, case studies and more;
  • Develop new content threads leveraging internal and external subject matter experts;
  • Manage third-party writing resources as necessary to support and supplement content production; and,
  • Collaborate with Creative, Demand Generation and Product Marketing teams to support content-rich B2B campaigns

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field;
  • 5 years of relevant writing experience, ideally from within corporate marketing, field;arketing or sales enablement organizations;
  • Experience in B2B marketing and/or sales, preferably with enterprise high-tech or MarTech industries;
  • Strong B2B content creation skills a must, particularly using interviewing techniques for the development of customer success and thought-leadership marketing materials;
  • Documented experience working cross functionally with sales, product management, and corporate marketing;
  • Demonstrable expertise with scheduling and collaborative work processes and deadlines as required for successful management of projects with long lead times;
  • Ability to research and keep up with marketplace and industry trends; and,
  • Writing samples required
