Videographer

TechTarget, an award-winning B2B technology and media company, is looking for a full-time videographer. This person will work closely with our editorial team to storyboard, shoot and edit on-site, tech-specific videos; enhance the visual experience by integrating icons, b-roll and text overlay; manage a small staff. You will also work in-office with TechTarget editorial and others, cultivating on-camera talent and coaching video best practices. Limited travel may be required, for on-location shoots with experts and at tradeshows/events. An understanding of tech-related content and terminology a plus.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Shoot and edit in-studio technology-related videos;
  • Collaborate with scriptwriters to strengthen visual/content integration;
  • Work with and direct on-camera talent;
  • Mentor and manage staff of one, plus intern;
  • Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high-quality output;
  • Manage on-site studio, equipment purchases and maintenance; and,
  • Organize and archive files.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • 7+ years of experience in film/photo industry;
  • Firm handle on a videography, editing, studio environment and process;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills;
  • Ability to see multiple projects through to completion while meeting tight deadlines;
  • Maintain high standards for creative output;
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented;
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure;
  • Knowledge of trends in the film/video industry; digital and social video standards;
  • Video social media experience;
  • Journalism/Communications, Film, Media Production degree or career-related degree.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects;
  • Working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite programs;
  • Advanced knowledge of greenscreen editing, track licensing/sourcing and color grading techniques;  and,
  • Familiarity with YouTube and Brightcove platforms.
