Charles Symons is co-founder and past president of the Common Software Measurement International Consortium (Cosmic).

Cosmic is a voluntary, not-for-profit, globally-networked organisation that aims to improve the measurement of the size of software and the use of such measurements for determining the performance of and estimating for software activities.
