Analyst, Information Security Forum

Mike Yeomans is a research analyst at the Information Security Forum (ISF) and is responsible for the development, improvement and support of tools and methodologies that enable thought-leading risk management in information security.

He is the ISF's lead for quantitative information risk, developing the UK's first openly-accessible tool for modelling information risk using quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulations, calibrated estimates, loss-exceedance curves, and other forms of probability and statistics.

Yeomans was previously manager of the ISF's Benchmark project and is currently the organisation's liaison to ISO 27000 committees, playing a significant role in revising ISO 27002 and ISO 27102 (cyber insurance).

He has links with law enforcement and previously worked in a counter violent extremism think tank and parliamentary settings, as well as for a private security firm producing data-driven risk assessments for those traveling to high-risk locations such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
