  • Coexistence is the word for the latest Oracle cloud strategy

    Larry Ellison's recent announcement, made at the 2014 Oracle OpenWorld conference, that the company was refocusing itself on the cloud, made waves in the Oracle user community. Primarily because the company's plan to bring its Fusion Applications to the cloud brings into question its promise of lifetime support for Applications Unlimited. That promise, made to the thousands of customers still running Oracle's core application offerings, represents "a commitment to continuously innovate in current applications while delivering the next generation of cloud applications."
