Alexander M. Wyglinski

Alexander M. Wyglinski received bachelor of engineering and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from McGill University, in 1999 and 2005, respectively, and the Master of Science in Engineering degree in electrical engineering from Queen's University, Kingston, in 2000. He is a professor of electrical and computer engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass., where he is the director of the Wireless Innovation Laboratory.

During his academic career, he has published over 40 journal papers, over 80 conference papers, 9 book chapters and three textbooks. His current research activities include wireless communications, vehicular technology, cognitive radio, software-defined radio, connected vehicles, dynamic spectrum access, autonomous vehicles, spectrum measurement and characterization, and cyber-physical systems. He is currently being or has been sponsored by organizations such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Naval Research Laboratory, the Office of Naval Research, the Air Force Research Laboratory -- Space Vehicles Directorate, The MathWorks, Toyota InfoTechnology Center USA, Raytheon, the MITRE Corporation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the National Science Foundation. He is a senior member of IEEE, as well as a member of Sigma Xi, Eta Kappa Nu and ASEE. He is currently the president of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society.
