Upgrades to Nintex Forms simplifies electronic form creation

The new form designer by Nintex brings user-friendly capabilities to Nintex Forms for both electronic form creation and data collection processes.

Nintex Global Ltd. upgraded its forms designer, part of the Nintex Process Platform, to include more capabilities within Nintex Forms, enabling users to create electronic forms for cloud-based process workflows.

The Nintex Process Platform enables users to manage, automate and improve business process -- with drag-and-drop configurations instead of complex coding -- that integrates with preexisting business apps like Salesforce, Oracle, SharePoint and Dropbox, among others. Nintex Forms are typically implemented at the start of workflows to automate critical business processes.

Nintex Forms enables businesses to create custom electronic forms to capture and submit data for a variety of business needs. Forms built with the new designer are intended to be more user-friendly by automatically adapting to any device's screen size and shape for easy viewing; this functionality also supports time-sensitive and consistent communication, guaranteeing the sending and receiving of critical information from any location or device.

New to the forms designer is an improved drag-and-drop interface, support for advanced business rules and complex formulas, geolocation controls and support for multipage forms and e-signatures.

The update also enables application of sophisticated business logic, formatting and custom branding to any digital form, the vendor said. According to Nintex, Forms uses rules and formulas -- such as conditional formatting and validation -- to dynamically change forms based on user behavior and inline formula validation to minimize unnecessary fields or information.

Nintex designer also automates the creation process by automatically assigning tasks; the vendor intends to make Nintex Forms as readable, complete and functional as possible.

Similar form-creation products are offered by competing vendors, such as Google Drive Forms, Zoho Creator and Paperform.

The new Nintex Forms designer is available within cloud deployments to Nintex customers now, or they can continue to use Nintex's classic forms designer within Nintex for Office 365 and Nintex Workflow Cloud. The vendor plans to release an on-premises version of the new designer in coming months.
