Eric Avidon

Eric Avidon, an award-winning journalist with more than three decades of experience as a reporter and editor, covers data management and business analytics for TechTarget's Data Technologies Group. Before joining TechTarget in 2019 and being named TechTarget's 2022 Writer of the Year, he began his career writing about financial markets in his hometown of New York City before moving to Massachusetts and becoming a sports reporter and editor for 17 years. During his time covering sports, he spent 12 years on the Boston College football beat and eight covering the Red Sox. Just prior to joining TechTarget, he spent two years as the sports editor of the MetroWest Daily News.
