Peter Burris, vice president and research director at Forrester Research Inc., helps set
the CIO research agenda at the Cambridge, Mass,-based consultancy. His research team focuses on the
evolving relationship between chief information officers and chief marketing officers, best
practices in building an IT/business technology (BT) strategy, and on innovative ways to accelerate
business outcomes and social business and collaboration strategies.
Prior to joining Forrester in 2008, Peter was an independent consultant at leading
organizations, including the Department of Defense and HP; before that, he served as co-research
director and CEO at Meta Group. He attended Yale University.
