Oracle introduced the concept of Lifetime Support approximately a year ago. Basically, Oracle will now support products for a period of five years from the general availability date. This new policy applies to many, if not all, Oracle products and gives the customer some control over when they wish to upgrade. Technically, support for Oracle 9.2 ends July 2007. But you can purchase Extended Support for Oracle 9.2 for an additional three years, until July 2010. I believe you must be on the terminal release of Oracle9i Release 2 which is 22.214.171.124 to benefit from Extended Support.
