Vice President of IoT, VMware

Mimi Spier is vice president and head of business for internet of things at VMware. A dynamic leader, Mimi is responsible for launching and managing VMware's IoT business, including defining, driving and evangelizing its overall IoT strategy. This entails building the product strategy, creating go-to-market (GTM) and marketing strategies, and developing strategic partnerships necessary to bring the VMware Pulse family of solutions to market.

Before her current role, Mimi was responsible for VMware's ISV business development and marketing for mobility. She drove the growth and GTM strategy for VMware's $1.5 billion acquisition of AirWatch. Additionally, she launched the AppConfig program, enlisting members such as Cisco, Oracle, Salesforce and SAP to partner with VMware in the mobility marketplace.

Prior to VMware, Mimi led marketing and product management teams at Oracle, Business Objects, Hyperion and SAP, among other companies.

Mimi is a business graduate of Arizona State University, and a certified public accountant. She is a board member of the Anti-Defamation League.
