App development forces health IT industry to rethink mHealth strategy

The iPhone compressed the application development lifecycle and changed the way people perceive and use mobile devices. That's become a problem for today's health care industry, which is fast embracing mHealth strategy and the use of personal devices for care delivery without fully understanding how it will affect their organizations, said Robert Havasy, project specialist and operations manager at the Center for Connected Health. Havasy spoke during a panel hosted by SearchHealthIT during the mHealth Summit 2012.

In this webcast, the second of a three-part series, listen to Havasy discuss the changing application world and how linked data is the wave of the future. It's not about apps anymore; it is application programming interfaces and software protocols that allow systems to talk to one another.
