Terry Critchley is a retired IT consultant living near Manchester in the UK. He joined IBM as a systems engineer after gaining a PhD. He spent 24 years at the company in a variety of accounts and specialisations, latterly joining Oracle for three years.
He joined his last company, Sun Microsystems, in 1996, and left there in 2002. He then spent a year at a major UK bank.
Critchley is now an author of numerous articles and books for IT professionals. His publications include Making it in IT, High-availability IT services, and High-performance IT services.
