AppBuilder is a mobile application development tool that uses a hyper-productive PhoneGap/Cordova development environment to let developers create apps that work seamlessly on any mobile operating system, including Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

Because it has one shared HTML5/JavaScript code base, the apps developers build in AppBuilder work across all mobile platforms; devs don't need to build different apps for different platforms.

Built-in simulation, debugging and deployment tools let developers use the hardware and operating systems they already have to build apps for the mobile device of their choice. For example, developers can create an iOS app on a Windows or Linux system, or use a Mac computer to make an app for Windows Phone or Android.

With Telerik LiveSync, a companion app to AppBuilder, any changes a developer makes to an AppBuilder app show up instantaneously on shared devices. Telerik LiveSync also takes the manual processes of building, provisioning and deploying a mobile app out of the equation.

Visual Studio and Sublime Text, as well as a command line interface work with the integrated development environment in AppBuilder to let the developer use his favorite tools to empower cross-platform mobile development.

AppBuilder integrates with many user interfaces (UI), including Angular, Ionic, Kendo, UI Mobile, jQuery Mobile and more, which lets developers use the UI of their choice.

AppBuilder's prototyping, testing, data services, data connectors, in-app feedback, app management and analytics tools take developers through the entire application development lifecycle from design to measurement.

It does so by enabling developers to create the app UI quickly and transform Java Script into cross-platform apps. Next, developers can use their own data or AppBuilder's cloud services to deploy the app in a public or private app store. Once the app is deployed developers can automate mobile device tests, control app access and learn about app use.

If developers are having trouble getting started, AppBuilder offers sample apps. To foster even more cross-platform mobile development there is also a curated list of tested, documented and extended PhoneGap/Cordova plugins.
