CloudBees

CloudBees is a former platform as a service cloud provider that now focuses on open source continuous integration. The company's open source continuous integration tool, Jenkins, is the focal point of CloudBees' services.

Continuous integration rapidly and repeatedly tests changes to code for defects in order to fix or correct them as soon as possible. CloudBees' three main products include on-premises services Jenkins Enterprise, Jenkins Operations Center, and its cloud service [email protected]

CloudBees divides its plug-ins into five categories: continuous delivery, high availability, large implementations, security and optimized utilization. The Jenkins Enterprise plug-ins are used to manage large jobs and optimize existing on-premises services and security. CloudBees' Jenkins Operation Center is an on-premises plug-in for building Jenkins infrastructure at scale. [email protected] is a multi-tenant hosted Jenkins cloud service that CloudBees manages.

Enterprises and organizations choose CloudBees to automate previously manual jobs to save time and lower costs with continuous integration and delivery.

In September 2014, CloudBees discontinued its platform as a service, [email protected], to focus on Jenkins continuous integration. CloudBees now partners with Pivotal Labs and uses Cloud Foundry as its PaaS. The company's commercial continuous integration product, Jenkins Enterprise, is available as an add-on for Pivotal CF.

Integrated services for its continuous delivery platform include:

  • BlazeMeter: PaaS for load testing
  • Centrify: Software as a service (SaaS) that provides single sign-on for identity services.
  • CloudForge: cloud development platform
  • Google App Engine: Google's PaaS
  • JFrog: SaaS that provides a cloud repository
  • Okta: cloud service for enterprise identity management
