TechTarget Magazines Win 39 Editorial and Design Awards in National and Regional Contests

CIO Decisions, Storage and Information Security magazines honored with Two Dozen Awards from ASBPE and Fifteen Excellence Awards from TABPI

Information technology (IT) media company TechTarget announced today that its CIO Decisions, Information Security, and Storage magazines received 11 National Awards of Excellence and 13 regional awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). The national awards were announced last week at ASBPE’s annual national conference in Chicago. Earlier in the month, the three monthly publications also garnered 15 publishing awards in the “Tabbie” competition organized by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI). This annual competition “recognizes worldwide excellence in trade, association and business magazines,” attracting 800 editorial and design entries from around the world.

“We are great believers in the kind of high-quality journalism that both serves our readers and breaks new ground in covering the technologies most important to their business success,” said Greg Strakosch, CEO of TechTarget. “We are honored by this recognition of our work by such prestigious editorial associations.”

CIO Decisions magazine, which serves 50,000 IT executives at midmarket enterprises, earned gold awards for best new publication and feature design, honoring the founding team. Along with Information Security magazine, both publications were named among the ten finalists for ASBPE’s Magazine of the Year in the “under 80,000 circulation” division with Information Security receiving an honorable mention in this category. Storage magazine won a gold in the “Publication Redesign” category.

CIO Decisions also won four Silver awards in the categories of “Individual Profile”, “Technical Article”, ”Feature Article” design and “Overall Typography.” Storage took a silver in the “Front Cover: Directory/Supplement” category, and Information Security received silvers in both the “Special Supplement” editorial category and the “Opening Page or Spread: Computer Generated” category.

ASBPE is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors and writers employed in the business, trade, and specialty press. The ASBPE Awards program, which attracted more than 2,600 entries this year from B2B publications, honors the hard work and commitment to excellence by trade publication editors and graphic designers.
