Gary Nugent
Chief Executive Officer
Gary Nugent is the CEO of the newly created B2B Growth Accelerator, Informa TechTarget, a combination of Informa Tech, a division of Informa plc, and TechTarget. Prior, Gary was the CEO of Informa Tech, a position he held since its inception in 2019.
He has over 25 years of general management, sales and marketing experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector and has lived and worked in Dubai, Geneva, London, Paris and now Boston. He joined Informa in 2014 as Commercial Director for the Business Intelligence division. Previously, at Alcatel-Lucent, he was Head of the Managed Services Business and, before that, Head of Marketing. Before joining Alcatel-Lucent, he worked for leading global Information Technology brands such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems and IBM. Gary holds a B.Eng/B.Sc in Information Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
Rebecca Kitchens
Brand to Demand
As head of Brand to Demand at Informa TechTarget, Rebecca Kitchens serves as a cross-functional leader to align our solution portfolio, operational delivery and corporate strategy efforts to best support customer needs, today, and in the future. In addition, Rebecca has general management oversight for the commercial success of our Brand & Content and Intent & Demand business units, which includes the customer experience of these products and services, as well as the editorial engagement strategy that powers Informa TechTarget’s first-party, permissioned audiences and data capabilities across the company.
Previously, Rebecca served as President of TechTarget from January 2023 to December 2024, where she led TechTarget’s combination with the digital assets of Informa Tech while also continuing to oversee day-to-day editorial, audience marketing, customer enablement, partner development, and operations functions. Prior to that, Rebecca served as TechTarget EVP & Publisher from 2021, SVP, Market Development from 2017, and between 2002–2017, in various sales and sales management positions during the company’s early stages of growth. Rebecca holds a B.S. from Fairfield University.

Jane Qin Medeiros leads Brand & Content at Informa TechTarget. With a media portfolio of 221 publications serving an audience of over 50 million across multiple technology and industry markets, the Brand & Content solutions unit serves audiences with the knowledge they need to drive business growth. The Brand & Content group also houses Informa TechTarget’s Content Studio for marketers, helping clients build brand, earn trust, and drive demand.
Previously, Jane was the GM of Industry Dive, the leading B2B digital media company serving industry audiences across 38 publications. Jane’s a commercial leader and content marketing specialist, spending over a decade building studioID, Industry Dive’s global content marketing group, from the ground up. Before Industry Dive, Jane served as the SVP of Customer Success at NewsCred. Jane was born in Beijing, grew up in Southern California, and lives in New Jersey with her husband and two kids. She holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Bill Morelli leads Intelligence & Advisory within Informa TechTarget. Through a market-focused portfolio of syndicate research, strategic consulting and VIP networking events, the Intelligence & Advisory BU offers intelligence, insight, and solutions for the technology industry around four key segments: Enterprise, Consumer, Telecoms & Integrated Tech.
Some of the Industry-leading brands that make up the portfolio are Omdia Research, Enterprise Strategy Group™, Canalys and Wards Intelligence. Bill previously served as the Chief Research Officer for Omdia, where his responsibilities included research strategy and planning. Bill also previously served as Research Vice President for the Enterprise teams, including Cloud & Data Center, Cybersecurity, AI and Enterprise Tech. Bill came to Informa through the IHS Markit acquisition, bringing more than 20 years of technology industry and industry analyst experience to his role at Informa TechTarget. He studied Business & Computer Science at Northeastern and University of Phoenix and is based in the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex.
Steve Niemiec
Revenue Office
Steve Niemiec leads the Revenue Office at Informa TechTarget. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer at TechTarget since January 2023, overseeing the company’s Sales, Customer Success, and Sales Operations groups. Steve began his career with the company as an Account Manager and worked his way up to progressively more senior positions including serving as SVP, Global Sales from June 2013 to January 2021 and VP & General Manager from January 2011 to June 2013. Steve holds a B.S. from Providence College.
Dan Noreck
Finance
Dan Noreck heads Finance at Informa TechTarget, having previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at TechTarget from December 2016 to December 2024. Since April 2021, he has also served as a director and chair of the audit committee of Capital Properties, Inc., a publicly traded property leasing company in Providence, Rhode Island. From September 2010 to December 2016, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Providence and Worcester Railroad Company, a publicly traded regional short line railroad with operations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island. Prior to that, Dan was a Senior Audit Manager at Lefkowitz, Garfinkel, Champi & DeRienzo P.C. in Providence, Rhode Island from July 2003 to September 2010. Dan holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and is a CPA and a chartered global management accountant.

Revenue Strategy & Enablement
Doug Olender leads Revenue Strategy & Enablement at Informa TechTarget. Previously he served as TechTarget’s EVP of Sales Development, Enablement and Marketing from January 2023 to December 2024. Prior to that, he launched and led the company’s first Sales Development and Sales Enablement functions in 2017. He began his career with the company as an Account Manager and worked his way up managing the company’s first college-graduate Sales Hire and Training program, to progressively more senior positions including serving as the Company’s Group Publisher for Security, Networking, Business Applications, and Application Development from January 2013, overseeing the Sales, Marketing, and Editorial of those media entities. Doug holds a B.S. from Stonehill College.

Ruth Ovens is head of the People Office at Informa TechTarget. Previously she joined Informa Tech in March 2021 with over 15 years senior global people leadership experience in a range of industries including media, B2B, logistics and tech.
Ruth is passionate about the difference great people, leadership, being inclusive and deliberate development can make not only to business performance but to our colleagues, audience, customers, communities and the tech industry as a whole. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has an M.Sc. in Strategic Personnel and Development, where the dissertation was all about the impact of company values on business performance.
Ruth lives on a farm on the outskirts of Bath, UK, with her husband and three children, who all love the outdoors, keeping fit and fitness challenges.
Mark Picone
Intent & Demand
Mark Picone leads Intent & Demand, which houses the company’s lead generation product portfolio and its intent data offerings, all delivered natively through a suite of industry integrations or accessed through its flagship, Priority Engine. Mark also oversees the BrightTALK® platform, which offers content syndication, content creation and audience promotion capabilities via either managed or self-service subscriptions.
Mark comes to Informa TechTarget from Acquia, a leader in Digital Experience Platforms, where he was General Manager for their Marketing Cloud business which includes their customer data platform, marketing automation, experimentation, testing and personalization products. Prior to that, at Adobe, he was Vice President of Information & Data Services. There he was responsible for everything related to data including data product management, data engineering, data platforms and governance across all lines of business and corporate functions. At Experian Marketing Services, Mark was responsible for global data development for all data and analytics products across 27 countries. Prior to Experian, Mark served in Group Managing Director, General Manager, and CTO roles for Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing, overseeing their customer database and data quality / processing businesses. Mark has a B.A. in Computer Information Science with a minor in Mathematics from Temple University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Drexel University.
Sean Tierney
Technology Office
Sean Tierney heads the Technology Office at Informa TechTarget, having previously served in that role at TechTarget from January 2016 to December 2024. Prior to that, he served as VP and SVP of Product Development and Technology dating back to January 2000. Prior to joining TechTarget, he spent 5 years at an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software startup, Chrysalis Symbolic Design, building software solutions to help solve complex ASIC design problems, and 6 years at Raytheon building and supporting CAD/CAE tools. Sean holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Merrimack College.
Mike Cotoia

Mike Cotoia is Special Advisor at Informa TechTarget. Previously he served as TechTarget’s Chief Executive Officer and a Director since May 2016. He was employed by TechTarget from 2002 to 2024, serving as Chief Operating Officer from January 2012 to May 2016 and, prior to that, as EVP from 2010 to 2012 and in various other positions, including as SVP and VP and Publisher, from 2002 to 2010. Prior to joining TechTarget, he was Director of Sales at SANZ, a national storage integrator, and he also held positions at EMC Corporation, a provider of enterprise information storage systems, and Deloitte, a provider of audit, consulting, financial, risk management, tax, and related services.
Mike holds a B.S. from Babson College and is a CPA. His history with the company and experience in the IT advertising business provides Informa TechTarget with specific knowledge of the company’s operations and a greater understanding of the Company’s strategic opportunities.
Karen Winter
Operations
Karen Winter leads Operations at Informa TechTarget. Previously, Karen held that role at Informa Tech, joining in January 2021 from Taylor & Francis, where she was Director of Continuous Improvement. Karen is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence and is a keen advocate of transparency, collaboration, effective use of data and evidence-based decision making.
Karen is an Exec Sponsor of the All Informa Career Ambitions Network (iCAN). For most of her career, Karen has worked in academic and professional publishing both developing and project managing content products for social sciences, criminology and medicine. Karen has also worked in roles within editorial, production, marketing and operations. Karen is an experienced leader of operational projects and systems implementations, particularly those using Lean Six Sigma and Agile.
Karen has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Criminology and a Diploma in Leadership and Management from the University of Bristol, UK. She qualified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in 2018.
Luke Thornton

Luke Thornton is Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Informa TechTarget. A seasoned finance and strategy executive, he has extensive experience in strategic finance, strategy and M&A. Most recently, he was Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Informa Tech.
Luke has held leadership roles in both established corporations and high-growth startups globally, operating across diverse industries including technology, healthcare, and energy.
Luke is a Chartered Accountant and has recently received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
Mary McDowell
Director
Mary McDowell is the chair of the Informa TechTarget Board. Mary has over 30 years of experience as a technology industry executive. She served as President, CEO and a Director of Mitel Networks from September 2019 until January 2021, and as Chair of the Board of Mitel Networks from January 2021 until December 2022. Prior to joining Mitel Networks, Mary served as CEO and a Director for Polycom. Her earlier roles include Executive Partner at Siris Capital, a private equity firm, Executive Vice President at Nokia and senior positions at Compaq Computer and Hewlett Packard. She was a Non-Executive Director of Informa. She also currently serves as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee at Autodesk, Inc. and a Non-Executive Director of Arrow Electronics, Inc. Mary holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Grainger College of Engineering. She brings her deep operational experience transforming and profitably growing technology businesses, including in international markets.

Sally Ashford
Director
Sally Ashford is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. Sally is the Group Human Resources Director of Informa, having joined in June 2021. She has 30 years’ experience in Human Resources with significant expertise in reward, talent and business transformation. In her early career, Sally worked in Human Resources research and consultancy before moving in-house. She spent 15 years at Telefonica in a variety of roles, including European Human Resources Director, Deputy Global Human Resources Director and supervisory board member of Telefonica Deutschland. She then joined Royal Mail in 2015 where she was most recently Chief Human Resources Officer. She has worked with teams that have experienced significant business change, including mergers and companies that have grown both organically and inorganically. In addition to her executive role, she also serves as a Non-Executive Director for Helios Towers plc. Sally holds a bachelor’s degree in management sciences from the University of Manchester and a master’s degree in industrial relations from the University of Warwick. Sally brings experience of building people strategies that can support change, nurture talent and foster positive workplace culture to the Informa TechTarget Board.
Stephen A. Carter
Director
Lord Stephen A. Carter is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. He is the Group Chief Executive of Informa. He joined Informa in 2010 as a Non-Executive Director before becoming Group Chief Executive in late 2013. Under his leadership, Informa has expanded significantly in reach and scale, geographically (particularly in North America and in Asia) and in the deployment of technology and digital services. Prior to becoming Informa’s Group Chief Executive, Lord Carter was President and Managing Director EMEA at Alcatel Lucent Inc., Managing Director and COO of ntl (now Virgin Media) and Managing Director then Chief Executive of JWT UK & Ireland. He was the founding CEO of Ofcom and Chief of Strategy and Minister for Telecommunications and Media in the government of Prime Minister, The Right Hon. Gordon Brown. Lord Carter is a Non-Executive Director of Vodafone PLC and is Informa’s representative on the Board of PA Media Group Limited, BolognaFiere and Norstella, and Chair of Informa’s joint venture with the Principality of Monaco and of the Tahaluf partnership. He was made a Life Peer in 2008. Lord Carter holds a Law degree from the University of Aberdeen. He brings significant executive and non-executive experience across many different companies and industries, including deep knowledge of the technology industry, digital platforms and solutions and the marketing services industry.
David Flaschen

David is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. David has more than 20 years of executive and leadership experience in the information services industry, including positions at Thomson Financial and Dun & Bradstreet. He also has extensive experience in online businesses, having served as a Non-Executive Director at companies such as TripAdvisor Inc. and BuyerZone.com. David was a professional soccer player and a founding member of the North American Soccer League Players Association’s Executive Committee. He is also an Informa nominee on the Board of its Curinos business and Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Paychex Inc. Until June 21, 2024, David was a Non-Executive Director of Informa where he served as member of both the Nomination Committee and Audit Committee. David holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brown University. He brings extensive executive and non-executive experience of North American and international companies, with particular expertise in information services, data and marketing services.
Sean Griffey

Sean Griffey is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. Sean is a co-founder and the CEO of Industry Dive. He has spent the last 20 years working in the digital media, marketing, and demand generation industries. He joined Informa Tech in September 2022 when Industry Dive was acquired by Informa Tech. Prior to founding Industry Dive, Sean served as President for FierceMarkets where he oversaw the launch of more than 25 digital titles and products. He also spent nearly 10 years as a consultant at A.T. Kearney and PricewaterhouseCoopers helping companies achieve their strategic goals and improve performance. In 2015, he was inducted into the Media Industry News Digital Hall of Fame and recently was awarded the McAllister Top Management Fellowship at the Medill School of Journalism. Sean has a B.S. in Economics from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Don Hawk is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. He served as TechTarget’s Executive Director, Product Innovation from January 2012 to 2024. Prior to that, Don served as TechTarget’s President from its incorporation in September 1999 to 2012. Prior to co-founding TechTarget, Don was a Director of New Media Products for the Technology Division of UCG from 1997 to 1999. Prior to joining UCG, Don was the Director of Electronic Business Development for Telecommunications Reports International, Inc., a telecommunications publishing company. Don holds a B.A. and an M.A. from George Washington University. Don’s history with TechTarget and experience in the IT advertising business, which provides the Informa TechTarget Board with specific knowledge of TechTarget’s historical operations and a greater understanding of Informa TechTarget’s strategic opportunities.
Perfecto Sanchez
Director
Perfecto Sanchez is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. He served as a Director on the TechTarget Board from January 2022 to December 2024. Perfecto is currently the co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of Equity Quotient (“EQ”), a technology platform that provides access to diversity data and advanced analytics to help companies measure their stakeholder impact, manage risk, and devise growth strategies as part of a broader environmental, social, and governance imperative. He is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Keep The Change, a for-purpose marketing consultancy he launched in 2014 and serves on the board of directors of Lifeway Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq: LWAY), a public company, since August 2022. He is also the co-founder of CHPTR, Inc., a tech memorialization company and mobile-first community, and a co-founder of EQ with Christina. He is currently an advisor to Build in Tulsa, a movement to build the infrastructure for Black multi-generational wealth creation, as well as an Advisor at International Crisis Group. He served as Chief Marketing Officer for Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co. from 2016 to 2018 where he helped double their distribution and brand awareness. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2015, he served in senior brand and portfolio strategy roles at The Dannon Company, Inc. (a subsidiary of Danone S.A.) and Kraft Foods, Inc. Perfecto holds a Bachelor of Math and Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and is a decorated U.S. Army Veteran with two combat tours to Iraq. Perfecto brings his experience in managing complex projects and budgets, implementing portfolio, growth, and marketing strategies for global brands, as well as driving innovation and awareness through social impact initiatives to the Informa TechTarget Board.
Christina Van Houten

Christina Van Houten is a member of the Informa TechTarget Board. She served as a Director on the TechTarget Board from August 2019 to December 2024. She is currently the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of EQ. Prior to co-founding EQ with Perfecto, Christina served in various roles at Mimecast Limited (“Mimecast”), a global provider of cloud cyber resilience solutions for corporate data and email, including as advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and as Chief Strategy Officer, from April 2018 to May 2022. Prior to joining Mimecast, from 2014 to 2018, Christina was Senior Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Product Management, at Infor Global Solutions, an enterprise software company that provides comprehensive business solutions. She served as Vice President, Industry Solution and Strategy, at Infor, from 2011 to 2014. She was Vice President of Strategy and Solutions at IBM Netezza from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2010, she served in senior roles at Oracle Corporation. Christina holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and a B.A. degree from Georgetown University. Christina’s experience in marketing strategy and career with some of the world’s largest firms, provides the Informa TechTarget Board with invaluable business insight and expertise in overall sales and marketing strategies.
