Technology media company TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT) today announces the launch of six German-language IT Media sites, the appointment of a respected German Editorial Director and new media products for the German market. These investments will significantly increase TechTarget’s ability to deliver topically-targeted, online campaigns to technology companies trying to make progress in the German market.
“We see a huge opportunity to offer better content for German enterprise IT professionals researching technology purchases and the technology vendors that market and sell to these buyers. By investing in German content, people and media products, TechTarget will deliver better choices and solutions for buyers and technology companies in this important market,” said TechTarget’s CEO Greg Strakosch.
Building upon its existing audience of German enterprise IT Pros, TechTarget is launching five wholly-owned German language enterprise IT sites – SearchDataCenter.de™, SearchNetworking.de™, SearchSecurity.de™,SearchStorage.de™ and SearchEnterpriseSoftware.de™ – as well as de.Bitpipe.com™, an extensive German-language white paper, webcast and video IT library with more than 200 German assets. To direct the development of its independent content effort, Michael Eckert has joined TechTarget as Director of German Editorial. Eckert was the Editor-in-Chief of IDG’s TecChannel.de for 10 years.
To help clients take advantage of TechTarget’s existing audience and new attention generated by the German sites, TechTarget has also upgraded its Activity Intelligence™, website and product platforms to deliver new advanced advertiser capabilities to the German market. TechTarget can now provide first-to-German-market capabilities, including:

“By bringing our media products and site approach to the German market, technology companies focused on Germany can run lead generation and awareness campaigns that are more effective than those currently available anywhere in the market. And because the platform is consistent across Europe and the US, campaigns are faster to start, simpler to run and easier to compare across countries, “said Bill Crowley, TechTarget’s Senior Vice President, International.
