Business Intelligence Analyst
TechTarget is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join its Data Analytics team. In this role, you will work with the team to build out reporting solutions (learning the business needs, documenting requirements, developing and releasing dashboards and related reporting tools) for internal stakeholders. Your projects will cross multiple departments and products, including web traffic, email marketing, branding, and account-based marketing, among others. You will support core business objectives, work to ensure the overall integrity of the data going into reports, and help the business become more data driven and efficient.
Essential Job Functions:
- Create dashboards, scorecards, and reports in Tableau and GoodData and incubate new reports with other reporting tools;
- Use SQL to generate ad-hoc reporting for various business units;
- Assist with analysis and data interpretation of raw data or statistical output;
- Work with other Analysts on report automation and the overall data strategy to support future reporting needs;
- Assist Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to foster relationships with business owners and develop an in-depth understanding of their needs; and,
- Provide training and documentation for solutions released to the business.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science or another quantitative field;
- 1-3 years related experience in analytics and reporting;
- Strong Interest in Data Visualization and experience working with Tableau, GoodData or similar Business Intelligence/ Reporting Tools preferred;
- Experience with SQL and relational databases. Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills a plus;
- Ability to work and communicate with core stakeholders, with varying levels of data literacy and comfort using data;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate findings in non-technical terms;
- Collaborative, curious and solutions oriented with a passion for communicating stories with Data; and,
- Ability to quickly build an understanding of TechTarget’s Business and develop technical skills/knowledge.
