TechTarget Launches New Research Services, Hires Market Research Veteran Ken Male to Oversee Operations

Latest Offering in Suite of IT Deal Alert Products and Services will Focus on Research for Technology Vendors and Investors

Leading technology media company TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT) today announced the launch of TechTarget Research, the newest offering in the Company’s suite of IT Deal Alert™ products and services. The Company has tapped Ken Male, formerly of Gartner, Jupiter Research and Giga Information Group, to manage operations for this new venture.

The new offering will leverage TechTarget’s demand side data and analytics on technology deals across multiple sectors of the enterprise Information Technology (IT) market to build new intelligence and reports around technology adoption, market share, vendor performance, and more. TechTarget Research will focus on providing in-depth and actionable IT market insight for technology vendors as well as the institutional investor community.

TechTarget Research will collect and analyze post-deal data to provide the markets with a truly closed-loop view of enterprise IT buying.

As TechTarget’s new Senior Vice President and General Manager of Research, Male will oversee research design, production and go-to-market strategies. In addition, he will assist in contextualizing the wealth of data amplifying changes on a quarterly and annual basis.

Male brings over twenty-five years of experience in the IT industry creating and working for IT market research companies along with technology providers. Previously, Male was Founder and CEO of TheInfoPro, a firm specializing in data and insights used for strategic planning, technology benchmarking, competitive analysis and vendor selection/negotiation. After starting his career at EMC Corporation, he also held senior level positions at research and analyst firms Gartner, Jupiter Research and Giga Information Group. Most recently, Male headed worldwide benchmarking and data strategy for Apptio Corporation.
