Kaspersky Lab is a Russian security software and services company with a presence in 200 countries and territories around the world. The company specializes in endpoint security for businesses of all sizes but also offers a range of products and services for the home and business markets.
Kaspersky offers product and service groups centered on home, small businesses with up to 25 employees, mid-size businesses between 25 and 1000 employees and large enterprises with over 1000 employees. Products for home include antivirus and internet security software, as well asTotal Security, a comprehensive solution with support for multiple device platforms, including Android and iPhone. Business-centric products include endpoint security for cloud environments, virtualization security, mobile security, DDoS protection, targeted attack prevention, data center protection and security intelligence services.
Eugene Kaspersky developed Kaspersky Anti-Virus in 1997 and founded Kaspersky Lab with his then-wife. Kaspersky Lab North America was founded in 2004 in Massachusetts as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the parent company, whose corporate headquarters are in Moscow. By 2006, the company's products were the fastest growing internet security software in the United States.
